Jenny Scoggin has always had an eye for fashion; She brings life to unique and quirky pieces of clothing you would never expect someone to wear. Which explains why she enjoys shopping at thrift stores in Springfield.
“My taste in fashion is purely entertainment based. I enjoy wearing clothes that are unique and entertaining; clothes that people would never consider wearing. There’s never a wrong thing to wear,” says Scoggin.
A student at Drury University, Scoggin has been living in Springfield for almost four years now and shops at thrift stores, frequently.
“I started shopping at thrift stores because I didn’t have very much money and thrift prices are normally around $1-$2. After going a few times to thrift stores, I realized how much quality stuff was out there. Now, I rarely make purchases for new items,” Scoggin admits.
The other day, Scoggin picked up some interesting clothing finds: a pair of beige heels and a colorful flannel from Red Racks on Glenstone.
On the shoes:
“I love the look of the nude heels and the thick heel that they have. They are way easy to walk in and the nude color makes them so easy to match with anything!”
On the flannel:
“I bought the flannel because it’s a, “loosey goosey,” option that matches with a lot and is a good light jacket add on to any outfit. I also love the mix of colors that it has!”
