I didn’t even know about The Thrift Shop At The Plaza until I went to Frasher’s and saw it from across the street. It was a nice little surprise.
What you can expect to find:
And I also found these cute Tobasco mugs! (My guilty pleasure is mugs with character if you haven’t noticed already).
There was also a sign that said, “This piano was used in the making of the Memphis movie, ‘I Walk The Line.” My friend and I were super confused because:
A) There was not an actual piano there, just the sign.
B) DO THEY MEAN “WALK THE LINE” WITH JOAQUIN ‘GREATNESS’ PHOENIX AND REESE WITHERSPOON? WHAAATTT?
Moments later, we realized the sign had a price tag on. $10. We’re still more confused than ever. But, it’s better leaving some things a mystery, I guess. I definitely should’ve asked.
When you purchase items at The Thrift Shop At The Plaza, all profits go directly to Ozarks Animal Rescue. When I was leaving, I’m pretty sure I saw a cat being lazy and stuff in a nearby corner. I’m certain that’s the store’s mascot.
What did I buy? Nothing. I found some really cute dog pictures but they were too expensive. Maybe if I find myself along Glenstone, I’ll stop by and convince myself to buy the dog photos.
